THE WHOLE WORLD’S WATCHING WOMEN
Updated: 10/19/2009 at 10:09 PM
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THE WHOLE WORLD’S WATCHING WOMEN The New Jersey Titans professional women’s football team sparks global awareness for the growing sport. Throughout 2009, the members of the New Jersey Titans have banned together to bring more awareness to the growing sport of women’s professional football. The highly organized runs and skillfully executed plays correlate precisely to their counterpart’s winning strategies and yet attendance is only a 5th of traditional football viewership amongst the fans as well as sports media’s interest. The Women’s Football Alliance league hosts an impressive talent roster which spans the entire United States. “Our aim this season and looking forward, is to continue to support our peers in the women’s football arena. We hope to collectively generate enough buzz for the fans to come out to witness the hard tackles, stunning sacks, dizzying speed, and all the other calculated plays associated with the great sport of American football”, explains Simone Edwards, owner of the New Jersey Titans. In addition to having a strong presence on the field, the Titans have also been a big proponent of charity off the field. This year they will collaborate with the JNFE::PINK, (Breast Cancer Awareness benefit concert) foundation by inviting women from the WNBA, WFA, WTA and all other professional women’s teams to enjoy a dinner and emerging celebrity music concert while supporting the fight against breast cancer. Even as their football appeal broadens to a national level, the Titans still make time to host the heartfelt benefits during their practice season. Before the Thanksgiving holiday, to be amongst their NFL friends and fans, agents, sports newscasters and female football fans, the team will have a pre-seasoned meet and greet that will take place at the ESPN Zone in Times Square, Manhattan, NY on Saturday November 14th,2009 at 8pm. This will give the fans an opportunity to get closer to the players they love to watch from the stands. Publicity for the team is handled by the Just Not Famous Enough Publicity Firm. The “Play Nice” campaign launches around December and will expose women’s football like no other campaign has so far. JNFE::SPORTS is also a host for the Titan’s kickoff game tentatively scheduled for the spring of 2010. Media appearances will be scheduled throughout the remaining months of 2009 and extend into the 2010 season. For more information contact Monty Brewster at jnfemedia@gmail.com or 305.894.6073.
