West Virginia Bruisers Join the WFA for 2010

The Women's Football Alliance is pleased to announce the West Virginia Bruisers will be competing in the 2010 WFA season. The Bruisers are owned by Brenda Graves and will be playing out of the Huntington, WV area. Huntington is well known for being the home of Marshall University, a Division I Football powerhouse.

Brenda Graves, is a teacher at Beverly Hills Middle School and a local women's tackle football player.

The Bruisers' home field will be the historic Ward-Craycraft Stadium in Kenova. The stadium is the former home of the Ceredo-Kenova Wonders, 12 time WV state class A champions in football. Ms. Graves hopes to showcase the local area to out of town visitors who will be arriving for the Bruisers home games. "I'm just happy to give local women the chance to play football," said Ms. Graves, who will also be playing.

Interested participants may contact Ms. Graves at (304) 521-3121. Practices are currently taking place at Virginia Point Park in Kenova, WV every Wednesday and Sunday at 6 p.m. All local women aged 18 to 50, which are interested in trying out for the team, are encouraged to do so.
