WFA Welcomes Mexico to the WFA!!

The Monterrey Aguilas Regias (Royal Eagles) have joined the WFA. The Royal Eagles are owned by Gabriela Martinez. Staff also include  Edmundo Reyes is their  General Manager, and Mr.
Leoncio Ruiz as their Operations Manager .  The Aguilas Regias will showcase their talent in the International Bowl where they will take on the New Orleans Blaze.   The game will be played on August 15, 2009, prior to the 2009 WFA National Championship in New Orleans, Louisiana. “This is a truly historic occasion,” stated Jeff King, WFA President. “The WFA is looking forward to helping women’s football grow both nationally and internationally.”   Ms. Martinez is also excited about the opportunities it brings to women’s athletics in Mexico. “After knowing that Monterrey has a team that will participate in the WFA, more people from allover Mexico have become interested in creating their teams and participate in the WFA as well.” For more information about the Aguilas Regias visit their website: www.aguilasregias.com
