Nothing will be easy in Texas

The Outlaws traveled to Dallas for a 1pm game on Saturday. The game started off with a TD run by Shadana Hurd, and the Mustangs quickly answered with their own scoring drive. Both defenses settled in for a fight during the rest of the first half, which ultimately ended with a tie ball game at 7 all.The second half saw much of the same storyline as the first. Outlaw RB Shadana Hurd scored for another TD, and the Mustangs answered with their own TD. The key difference came when rookie LB Sotonye Dikibo blocked the Mustang PAT putting the score at Outlaws 14, Mustangs 13. Both offenses spent the 4th quarter putting together impressive drives that would threaten the red zone, yet end up being stalled by equally impressive defensive stands.

The game ended with a forced fumble on a long Mustang reception that would have put the Mustangs in the red zone. With 29 seconds on the clock, the Outlaws recovered the fumble, taking a knee on the last snap to end the game.
