WFA ADDS VETERAN TEAM TO ITS MEMBERSHIP
The Women’s Football Alliance is pleased to announce its newest member, the Emerald Coast Barracudas. The Barracudas are owned by David L. Freeland.
"We are very happy to have a veteran program such as the Barracudas in the WFA," stated Jeff King, president of the WFA. "And we’re looking forward to working with Dave Freeland. He has an impressive football resume as both a coach and a player." Mr. Freeland is a graduate of Appalachian State University where he was a 4-year letterman on a full football scholarship. He was a Varsity football coach at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Florida, and coached NFL great Kevin Carter. "With his experience and knowledge, Dave will be a valuable asset to the whole league," concluded Mr. King.
Mr. Freeland has been a part of the Panama City franchise since its inception in 2003. In 2006, the team took on the name the Emerald Coast Barracudas.
