WFA welcomes the KC Storm!
Updated: 12/28/2008 at 2:52 PM
The Women's Football Alliance is pleased to announce that the Kansas City Storm will be added to the WFA Midwest Division.
The Storm is embarking on it's fifth season and boasts its most talented and knowledgeable coaching staff ever. In 2009 the Storm will be led by Dan Ascheman, a long time figure in the Kansas City football circles, as well as NFL alumni Trent Bryant and Barnett "B" Walker.
The Storm is owned by Nancy Wernes. Wernes played tackle football for five years and is a lifelong athlete having played or coached volleyball, basketball, flag football, soccer, softball and golf. She has also coached several youth teams including basketball and softball. And, while she may be a "jock" she's also got an MBA in finance and a Bachelor degree in Computer Science. She's been a Kansas City resident for more than 20 years.
